Becoming part of the APN network is a multi-step process, with surgeons and facilities required to demonstrate excellence in their specialty as well as outstanding patient care.
Membership in APN must be earned and cannot be purchased, making it a mark of distinction, regardless of the APN Member’s geographic location or boundary.
APN Member Expectations
We expect all our members to adhere to the standards listed below.
Qualifications & Certifications
APN Members are required to maintain the minimum qualifications and applicable certifications within their specialties at all times. Members must remain active members in good standing of their national specialty organizations.
APN Members will agree to expedite the facilitation process by ensuring that communication with APN is made in a timely fashion.
Physician & Facility Requirements
APN Members are responsible for maintaining all of the additional requirements outlined in the APN contract for the physician and/or facility, which outlines acceptable operational standards and practices. This includes specific criteria regarding patient anesthesia, pain management and surgical scheduling.
On-Site Inspection Visits
APN Members are held to the highest ethical standards. Because patient health, safety, and wellness is our top priority, all APN Members agree to periodic on-site visits to verify quality standards compliance.
